Whale Watching

Whale watchers have had amazing viewings aboard Whalesong Cruises over the past few days. This morning there was a 75 minute mugging from 4 whales, then a breach in front of the boat, very lucky for the lady at the front. Spectacular!!!

Hervey Bay’s own Water Park is now open!

Hervey Bay will become a family haven this summer with the recent opening of the Hervey Bay Water Education Park.

The $12 million project encompasses a zero-depth water play attraction and an outdoor science museum featuring the properties and nature of water. Water will cascade, squirt, spray, jet and bounce around for children to play within. This is a public facility, which is open to the public free of charge with pay-for-use features inside including a café and a static wave machine.

The water park is all about having fun in a learning environment, with the key message being the conservation and intelligent use of water. The park features sophisticated jets, spouts and fountains so that people can have fun with water without wasting it.

This is just another reason to visit the beautiful Fraser Coast and Hervey Bay!
