Fraser Lodge Holiday Park is celebrating the announcement that they have ranked Number 6 in family-friendly holiday parks in QLD. The Park was recognised in the annual 'Holidays with Kids' travel magazine awards, voted by the national magazine's readership of over 600,000 parents, 61,000 online members and customers of Club Med and TakeABreak.com.au.

Categories included activities for kids, staff hospitality, accommodation, location, safety and family fun.

We are pleased to annouce that we have been inducted into the Fraser Coast South Burnett Tourism Awards for Excellence - HALL OF FAME 2010 for Best Tourist and Caravans Parks, after having won the 'Best Caravan & Tourist Park' for the 3rd year in a row in 2009.

The Fraser Coast South Burnett Tourism Awards for Excellence are designed to recognise the outstanding contribution made by those businesses and individuals whose tourism services set a high standard throughout the Fraser Coast South Burnett Region.

Experience the beautiful Gympie Region aboard The Valley Rattler, which operates heritage steam train tours beginning at the historic Old Gympie Railway Station.The scenic tours stop at Mary Valley villages including Dagun, Amamoor, Kandanga and Imbil, where passengers can disembark onto these original stations and enjoy local produce, arts and crafts, wine and cheese tastings and good old fashioned country hospitality.

The tours are on every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday and there is also a rail motor tour every Tuesday. It's a great day out for those staying in the Hervey Bay region, and kids and adults alike will have a fantstic time checking out the train and the scenery.

The Adelaide Crows AFL team's biggest fan and his wife Kathleen have been regulars at Fraser Lodge Holiday Park since 1994!
