Commercial whale watching in Australia began the day Brian and Jill Perry discovered whales in the calm pristine waters of Hervey Bay on the Fraser Coast of Queensland. Since that fateful day 23 years ago over a million people have been whale watching in Hervey Bay.
 
Their vessel, Quick Cat II was designed in 2003 specifically with whale watching in mind for access for all. Wheelchairs and prams can easily maneuver around the main deck.
 
The award-winning vessel has won over 20 awards including 10 Fraser Coast South Burnett Tourism Awards for Excellence, an Advanced Eco Tourism Accreditation and been entered into the Fraser Coast Hall of Fame for its achievements in the whale watching industry. Quick Cat II is the most awarded whale watching vessel in Australia. Max. 95 passengers.

 

Departs: From the Great Sandy Straits Marina twice daily from early July to November. Morning Cruise departs 7.00am and returns 12.30pm. Afternoon Cruise departs 1.00pm and returns 5.00pm.
 
Free courtesy transfers from Fraser Lodge Holiday is included, when tour is booked through the park.
