The Wide Bay Water Corporation (WBWC) has opened the WetSide Water Education Park, an innovative step in public recreation that also delivers ‘infotainment’ in a free, outdoor setting.
WetSide Water Education Park was built by Wide Bay Water Corporation for residents and tourists to learn about water and its sustainable use while enjoying the guilt-free experience of having fun in recycled stormwater. The park includes WetSide Coffee Shop for café-style food, a special area for under 5's called TotSide and the FlipSide BoardRider wave machine (tickets are $5 from the Coffee Shop). Go on and wet yourself!
(WetSide is smoke and alcohol-free. No bikes, scooters, skateboards or pets are allowed. No running in the park. Additionally, WetSide may close for reasons including private functions, extreme weather and maximum capacity crowds.)
